The Marmoris block is south west facing and comprised of four clones with the predominant clone being Pommard, also imaginatively known as D4V2. The remaining clones are prettier and less structured whilst the Pommard also gets a little whole bunches in the ferment if there is enough ripeness and concentration to warrant it. In 2025, the vintage was overall quite dry and warm and fortuitously cool and dry over the harvest period, making it easier to pick the grapes on just the right day. The result is a powerful wine with a complex nose, silky palate and lingering slightly tannic finish. A compelling wine.
